Ipis in my water :$

I just had a quick lunch at the Dimsun 'N Dumpings resto behind the Victor R. Potenciano Hospital. I've been eating lunch and dinner there almost everyday now since it's the cleanest establishment in our office's vicinity. Aircon pa. And I always drink the service water from the sealed plastic container. Meaning it shows that it was refilled from
water filling station. Meaning: CLEAN.

The waitress gave me my glass for my clean service water. I filled it up and starting sipping because it's such a hot day. While waiting for my order, I watched the ice float in my glass. And lo and behold. A friend appeared. Baby cockyroach having a swimming lesson. It wasn't that red yet but it was surely on it's way to infest the world. Of course, I forgot to take a picture again because I showed it right away to the waitress. There were other customers so I swallowed my disgust (such a stupid boy) and tried to think of happy thoughts. My dimsum rice was getting cold.

So I justified my silent protest by watching first how these people are trained in times of trouble. I would report my findings to their management later on. So I watched intently... and found out that they did nothing at all to solve the root of the problem. The waitress just gave me a new glass. And also gave the customers their glasses. And I was like (in my head), "Ummmm, your service water is infested #*$)(#$)(!!!!"

My theory is they left the opening of the service water container open the whole night. Or even the whole week. And baby cockyroach and family have been frequenting their pool/well to take baths or mom and dad doing some hot steamy poolside cockroach sex to have more kiddies to conquer Mandaluyong.

Moral lesson: Bring own water or buy bottled water. Amen.

Happy Lunch!
