work work play

Been so busy in the last two weeks. A lot of adjusting is being done because I'm trying to put some normalcy in my life. I got a day job!! That's a big thing for someone who's used to sleeping around 8 a.m. every day and waking up in time for the 3 o'clock habit on T.V. for the past three years. Forcing yourself to sleep early and to wake up have been a bit too harsh for my health. My endorphins are screaming for a re-fill! And a dry cough and a weak spirit are obviously a big nuisance. Thanks to paracetamol, some love, and multivitamin overload.

Apologies to my band for being a zombie in our 70's bistro gig. Still adjusting to this challenging set up. I live down south and it takes me around 4-5 bottlenecks to get to work. Metro Manila has really poor urban planning. The crazy thing about our building is it doesn't have a canteen or a real convenience store. When you step outside, EDSA greets you with its noise and intense lung cancer pollution. We need to take a 5 minute walk along EDSA to reach the nearest food place. And I always feel that my life shortens by 5 minutes (or 10 if with dinner) every day. I wonder if there is a life expectancy study/report on MMDA officers as compared to people who work far from vehicular dirt.

But today I ran away from this toxic city.

I played football on a field in Laguna that was surrounded by lush green trees and watched by blue skies and white poofy clouds. Breathe again.

Yey naman! You got a day job! So manglilibre ka na? Hehehe.

Anyhoo, good luck with work! With the pollution EDSA has, I guess it's like smoking two Marlboro reds at a time. Grabe, kailangan mo talaga magtakip ng ilong :/
